Our story

A recruitment partner built around how startups actually hire

Link Talent Recruitment is run by LINK TECHNICAL TALENT LTD, a small team that works only with tech startups and the people who build them. We started because too many founders were being sent CVs by agencies that had never shipped a product, never sat in a stand-up, and never had to fill a role against a funding deadline. Our approach is simpler: understand the team, the stage, and the technical bar before a single candidate is approached.

You will work with consultants who have hired engineers, product managers and data specialists inside growing companies. That means we can talk about your stack without a glossary, and we can tell the difference between someone who has scaled a system and someone who has only read about it. When you brief us on a role, we ask about the problems the hire will solve in their first six months, not just the keywords on the job description.

Most of our searches are for early-stage businesses — pre-seed through Series B — where every hire changes the shape of the team. We keep our client list short on purpose. That lets us give each search proper attention, keep candidates warm through long notice periods, and stay honest when a role is going to be hard to fill. If we do not think we can help, we will tell you at the briefing stage rather than three weeks in.

Candidates get the same treatment. We will not put you forward for a role that does not match what you told us you want next. You will know who the company is, what stage they are at, and what the interview process looks like before you commit to anything. If a process stalls, you will hear it from us, not from a silence that drags on for a fortnight.

We are based in the UK and work with startups across the country, from London to Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh, as well as remote-first teams with no fixed office. Whether you are hiring your first engineer or your fiftieth, the process starts the same way: a conversation about what you are building and who you need beside you.
